When my daughter was three, I asked her what she thinks I do for work. “You go to weddings”, she answered. “And what do I do at weddings?” I asked. Her reply: “You eat cake.” She’s not entirely wrong; I do love cake! But I’m also incredibly lucky to capture moments of love between couples and families, just like yours.
My journey into wedding photography began during my grad school days while earning my Master of Fine Arts degree. I fell in love with preserving the emotions and joy of weddings and never looked back. Now, after over ten years of documenting, thoughtful celebrations? I still find so much joy in capturing not just the big, iconic moments but also those quiet, in-between interactions with your most loved people that weave together to tell your extraordinary love story.
I can’t wait to be your third wheel for a while.
I promise we’ll laugh a lot
This may be surprising, but I typically stay close to home for weddings. This allows me to spend a little extra time with my family while I also share in the beauty of my home state, North Carolina. Because it is home, I know the light and how it changes from season to season. I recognize the foliage and anticipate what’s in bloom. Being familiar with gorgeous locations, I can offer suggestions that complement your unique story.
